CULTURE vultures are invited to work with local artists for a unique May celebration.
As part of national Museums and Galleries Month, Leigh's Turnpike is organising an ARTmix in the gallery.
It is celebrating "Cultures, Then and Now" with a series of events and activities for adults, children and family groups every Saturday.
This week (May 10) from 10.30am to 12.30pm adults are invited to take along personal mementoes, photographs and memories for a drawing workshop with Bolton artist Louise Clennell.
Other activities includes a children's workshop and live guides to the exhibition Art for Networks.
Outreach officer Martyn Lucan said: "We are pleased to be working with local artists to bring creative opportunities for the people of Leigh to enjoy contemporary art."
Events are free and everyone is welcome, but booking for the workshops is advisable. Ring 01942 404469.
