A 16-YEAR-OLD has organised a charity lunch in aid of Cancer Research UK after watching her mother battle ovarian cancer.
Nichola Barnes will be rustling up a ploughman's lunch at Blackburn Ragged School on May 10.
She decided to organise the event with the help of family and friends.
Cancer Research representative Hannah van Eerbeek said: "It is great that young people like Nichola are so keen to help support us and help us cure cancer faster."
Lunch will be served from noon at a cost of £3. For more information call 01254 51255.
