I AM so pleased that one of the old rail station clocks is to stay in Blackburn (LET, April 21).
I wrote to Railtrack at the start of the rebuilding of the station and I was assured that one of the clocks would be at Blackburn station and the other one would go to the railway museum in York.
If the retained clock can't be used on the new station, then perhaps it could go on a high post on the bus station as we certainly could do with a timepiece there.
A PICKUP (Mrs), Hudson Close, Blackburn.
