A WOMAN has denied attempting to murder her husband, but admitted a lesser charge of causing grievous bodily harm.
Susan Jones' pleas were accepted when she appeared before a judge at Preston Crown Court.
The 44-year-old woman of King Street, Haslingden, now faces sentencing next month.
She denied attempting to murder her husband Steven in an incident last December, but pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Her husband was treated for burn injuries at hospital following the incident in King Street.
The case was adjourned to June 27 for sentencing, in order for background reports to be drawn up on the defendant.
She was remanded on bail by Judge Edward Slinger who said all sentencing options were being kept open, including the possibility of a custodial sentence.
