EASTENDERS meet high society in Blackburn Amateurs' production of Me and My Girl at the Civic Theatre Oswaldtwistle from May 12 to 17 at 7.30pm.
The story revolves around a young Cockney man Bill Snibson, played by Mark Robinson, who suddenly finds himself heir to the title and estate of Hareford Hall.
As a result Sally, played by Maria Masterman, makes every effort to ensure that she can be the lady of the hall, despite her Cockney upbringing.
Advances to Bill from Lady Jaqueline (Rebecca Tatton) who resides at the hall only complicates matters, but by the end of the show Bill sees the error of his ways and makes the right choice.
