In the past couple of years a number of filmmakers have been trying to land the casting coup of bringing together father and son Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan.

One director had even started pre-production an a remake of The Godfather with the two of them playing the parts originally essayed by Marlon Brando and Al Pacino.

It now seems that maverick filmmaker Raj Kumar Santoshi has won the race and landed them in an as yet untitled project that is due to start rolling when he finishes his current film Khakhee, which incidentally has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.

Meanwhile, Amitabh was roped into star in an Adnan Sami music video. He will be starring in the video for the song Kabhi Nahin from the super hit album Tera Chehra. The big budget video was shot over two days recently.

Other Bollywood stars that have starred in videos from the Tera Chehra album include Mahima Chaudhary, Rani Mukherjee, Raveena Tandon, Namrata Shirodkar and Aarti Chhabria

Elsewhere, Bollywood siren Aishwarya Rai is trying to put a turbulent few weeks behind her by shopping for a new house. It turns out that Bollywood's highest paid heroine is consulting a Feng Shui expert before finalising her choice.

Aishwarya is still recovering from the accident she had on the sets of Khakhee. Her enforced sabbatical means that the schedules of her next two Bollywood films Khakhee and Kyon? Pyar Ho Gaya Na have had to be adjusted.

There does not seem to be too much rush; both films will not be ready for release until the end of the year.

Others keeping an eye on her progress are British director Gurinder Chadha who has signed Aishwarya for her next film Bride And Prejudice, and Roland Joffe who is keen to officially sign her for his big budget historical The Invaders.

Aishwarya's next release will probably be the much-delayed Kuch Na Kaho.

Rishi Kapoor's son Ranbir will make his debut in the next RK Films production. A lot is expected from Ranbir because he will be the first male in the fourth generation of the legendary Kapoor dynasty. Ranbir, who is currently honing his acting skills in the USA, will have a newcomer cast opposite him.

It is as yet unclear who will direct the film - it will either be Ranbir's father Rishi or one his uncles Randhir or Rajiv Kapoor.
