Women from across the region recently visited female owned Burnley businesses, eager to learn from their success.
Burnley Enterprise Trust hosted a Best Practice visit at the request of the Lancashire-Wide Network for Minority Ethnic Women and the Women's Business Network.
A group of female entrepreneurs from Liverpool met successful Asian businesswoman Mrs Jan Mohammed of Dil Pasand, who owns a successful clothing design shop located on Colne Road, Burnley. Lunch followed at The Ridge, a delightful restaurant and function venue recently set up by Pam Eglin and Wendy Locke with help from Burnley Enterprise Trust.
"The ladies were inspired by Jan's story of success. It is encouraging to think that Burnley will be known throughout the Northwest for its female entrepreneurs." Said Jo Lane, Co-ordinator for the Women into Business project at Burnley Enterprise Trust.
