VOLUNTEERS are needed to help East Lancashire Hospice's lottery continue its cracking start.
The lottery has been going five weeks now and has signed up about 3,300 members.
But organisers still need volunteers to help with canvassing and administration work and are asking people to give their time.
Lottery manager Harry Grayson said: "We've made an excellent start, but we still need help with canvassing if we are to reach our end-of-year target."
The draw offers a chance to win a weekly jackpot of £1,000 for a £1-a-week entry fee. About 70p of each pound goes directly to the hospice.
Lottery managers hope to have 7,000 people signed up before the end of the year to help the hospice raise £120,000 towards its £400,000 annual operating costs.
Anybody wishing to help with collections or join the Lottery can do so by calling Harry or Ann at the Lottery Office on 01254 342847.
