Aisha Yaqub , recently earned an 'Outstanding Learning' award for scoring the best marks (83%) out of more than 400 students at City College Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Aisha studied on the MMU accredited Access Foundation course at the College's Wythenshawe Campus.

Aisha is now studying Computer Systems at MMU. She said, 'I really wanted to get into University and the Access course, as well as strong support from City College's staff enabled me to do this. It was hard work but only took one year and I would recommend this course to anyone.'

Access courses are designed to prepare adults (over 21), who have few or no qualifications, for university study.

Why not join the fun on Saturday May 10th when City College will be taking part in a vibrant adult learners event, 'Celebrate Manchester - City of Learning' at noon in St Anne's Square, Manchester city centre.

City College Manchester is just one of the Colleges involved and will be providing activities throughout the day including hairdressing, Indian head massage and pottery displays.

Whatever your age or level, staff will do all they can to help you to succeed.
