There are lots of Fresh Opportunities on offer this summer at Blackburn College.

The College has published it's latest part-time guide listing hundreds of fascinating courses.

Called "DISCOVER A NEW YOU" the eight page newspaper is packed with full details of the prices, locations and entry requirements for programmes from May to the end of August.

Some courses are entirely free of charge, designed to offer you a flavour of the subject before enrolling on a longer course. The Fresh Start courses launched earlier this year have proved very popular and can be joined at any time during the year. All you need to know is where you can sign up at a centre close to your home. The range of subjects on offer is constantly being added to but currently there are 23 to choose from ranging from "Food for Survival", "Asian Dressmaking for Beginners" and "Caring for Your Car".

Places are limited though and offered on a first come and first enrolled basis. Contact Nikki Barton on 01254 29 25 02.

If you are feeling you need to flex your creative impulses then a short course in fantasy are may be just what you have been looking for.

This is one of a range of bite sized opportunities, including making your jewellery, painting watercolours from photographs or having fun with fabrics. In addition you will find a host of free tasters in computing and IT.

Enrolments for part-time courses starting 1st September begins on 23rd June.

The College will be publishing a new magazine "LIFT OFF" containing comprehensive details of all these.

If you are not sure what the course is right for you when many of the adult centres are holding open days over the next few weeks. Why not take the chance to pop in and have a chat or give student services a call on 01254 29-29 29.
