Paak AFC became the Peter Shaw Cup winners for the first time in their 35 year history.

After securing a runners-up spot in the league they had to beat champions Red Lion in the final.

After a frantic start with early chances at both ends, Paak took the lead mid-way into the 1st half, a short corner led to Nasir Iqbal dribbling his way past two defenders to cut the ball back for Ishrat Mehdi who drilled the ball in.

A few minutes later a long ball found Nasir Iqbal in the penalty area and he was brought down. Majid Ahmed cooly slotted home from the ensuing penalty.

Mid-way through the second half Red Lion threw men forward and pulled one back when centre half Nasir Rasool put the ball into his own net.

Paak restored their two goal lead when Adnan Akbar latched on to to back pass.

Manager Javed Iqbal said, "It was a tremendous performance from all the players.

"I am so proud of all my squad, they have shown their true character, spirit and most of all tremendous teamwork to achieve this victory. They must now finish the season with a victory in the league cup final"
