A total of 22 teams of all backgrounds from Preston are turning Wetview Leisure Centre into a festival of Football every Saturday.
The spotlight on sport 5-a-side football league was set up as part of the successful Childrens fund bid in conjunction with Canaries FC and Deepdale Junior School.
The league runs every Saturday afternoons between 1pm and 4pm. Catering for 2 age groups, 12's and under and 14's and under. It is co-ordinated by Farook Khan, a sports co-ordinator based at Deepdale Junior School.
On the pitch, the 12s and under league it's turning into three horse race with Fishwick Rangers, Deepdale La Coruna and Windmill FC breaking away from the chasing pack. Fishwick have yet to lose and conceded only one goal all season.
Competition for league placings is fierce with the likes of Callan Wanderers, Britannia Pretadors and Deepdale All Stars giving the leaders a run for their money.
In the 14s and under Frenchwood FC are going goal crazy...they've netted an amazing 46 in 9 games. Halalat has got 26 of them. Behind him Fishwick Rangers Idris Ugradar has knotched up 21.
Frenchwood are perched at the top with Fishwick Rangers and Athletico Frenchwood in hot pursuit.
