I WAS very interested to read your editorial and article (LET, April 30) concerning the medieval windows which may be removed from Holme in Cliviger.
I fully agree with your comments that the windows are an important part of Blackburn's heritage and should be returned to their home.
There is so little of old Blackburn to be seen and it is seldom that a chance occurs to obtain artefacts of such great antiquity.
If the decision is taken to remove the windows, then I hope a place can be provided within the Cathedral which is their spiritual home. As the foundations of the old church of St Mary the Virgin are only a few yards away and this is the place from where they were removed, there can surely be no better place for them.
