A MAN is due to appear at Crown Court on Friday charged with the manslaughter of a Morecambe pensioner.
As reported by the Citizen, Stanley Road resident Jemima Matthewson, aged 75, died last week after a stone was thrown through her living room window on Tuesday evening.
The stone did not hit her but she died later after suffering chest pains - and Det Sup't Paul Buschini said a post mortem revealed that Mrs Matthewson died of heart failure brought on by the stress of the incident.
Kevin Anthony Dean, 36, of Broad Square, Norris Green, Liverpool, appeared before Lan-caster magistrates on Monday, charged with the manslaughter of Mrs Matthewson, and damage.
He was remanded in custody. The case was committed to Crown Court.
