A DRIVE to help Heysham residents surf the net with speed is heating up.
A local campaign to bring ADSL Broadband Internet to communities in Heysham, Middleton and Overton needs 95 more people to come forward to secure the super-swift service.
Bryan Hobson, of the Heysham Broadband Campaign, says: "Our telephone exchange requires 350 people to register an interest in Broadband before British Telecom will upgrade the exchange. Currently 255 people have registered for Broadband, so we still need another 95 people to register before Heysham can have the same high-speed internet access enjoyed by residents within Lancaster and Morecambe."
