I WRITE in response to the article on Page 2 of the Citizen last week alleging that police are harassing taxi drivers. That's rubbish!
They should stop moaning and use the roads properly and with respect, just as other motorists have to do.
It seems to me that many taxi drivers think they own the roads. They have no consideration for other road users and are only interested in making money. Taxis should certainly not be allowed to use bus lanes.
The police have a job to do and that is what they are trying to get on with, whether it is day or night. In fact I often think that they are too tolerant of bad driving - and that includes bad driving by taxi drivers.
