I'VE got a strange feeling of deja vu going into the final weekend of the season!
The last time we qualified for Europe we had to beat to Spurs in order to do it.
And who stands in our way again now as we go in search of the win we need to grab sixth spot and a place in next season's UEFA Cup but Glenn Hoddle's team again.
I'll never forget what it felt like to win the Worthington Cup last February in Cardiff.
That was one of the greatest days of my career and I still get a buzz even now whenever I see pictures of those joyous scenes at The Millennium.
But while that was a fantastic experience for us, it was also an unforgettable occasion for Spurs -- for entirely different reasons.
Most pundits had built them up as the hot favourites to beat us on the day and they were absolutely gutted when they ended up as the losers.
That's why Sunday's game is going to be such a tough one for us because they'll be desperate to get revenge for that by denying us a second successive European spot.
We could have eased the pressure on ourselves by beating West Brom last week but we just didn't perform on the day and the manager let us know how he felt in no uncertain terms afterwards.
So a big improvement is going to be needed by everyone if we are to come away from White Hart Lane with the result we need.
Tottenham have had a disappointing season by their standards given the history and tradition of the club.
They've never been up to speed in the league and their poor form in the Cups was summed up by an embarrassing Worthington Cup exit at the hands of Burnley.
So Glenn Hoddle is no doubt starting to feel the pressure and last week's 5-1 thumping at Middlesbrough will have done little to lift his spirits.
But in a bizarre way, that makes them a dangerous animal.
When we went to West Ham, they'd just been humiliated by Manchester United a couple of days before but they beat us 2-1.
Then last week West Brom rolled up at Ewood on the back of a 6-0 drubbing against Liverpool but dug deep to grind out a point.
So we can't take anything for granted. All we can do is try and keep our part of the bargain by beating Spurs and then cross our fingers that Manchester United win at Goodison.
