A MAN aged 22 appeared before magistrates in Rawtenstall, charged with criminal damage at the home of Manchester United and England defender Phil Neville.
Jonathan Greenwood, of Standen Road, Southfields, London, is alleged to have caused £50-worth of damage to a garden light at the house, in Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth, on April 28.
The case was adjourned for three weeks, until May 28, to allow the defence to gather more information from the police and Mr Neville.
Greenwood was released on unconditional bail.
