NEIGHBOURS in St Helens Road, Leigh, discovered that they had suffered at the hands of vandals. One older car had been set on fire, another had three windows broken.
What is in the mind of youngsters who get their kicks from such behaviour?
They don't realise that in the case of one hard working victim who works out of Manchester airport that they left him without transport to get to work.
Not only that but the aging runabout, which did precisely the job for which it was needed, was written off meaning the cost of a new vehicle and all the trouble that goes with looking for one and sorting out insurance etc.
They must feel like stringing up the lout responsible. He was spotted so I hope the police find him and make him face the consequences. Give me strength.
Vandals also shattered one of the pleasant glass bus shelters on Atherton Road, Hindley Green. The French company that deals with the care of them must despair. You can't blame them for replacing the glass with less attractive unbreakable grey panels. Once again we all have to pay with a less pleasant environment because of such dimbats.
