A 22-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before Bolton magistrates charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of a Bury man.
Richard Bourke, of Pennington, Leigh, was also charged with three counts of dangerous driving, and a charge of obtaining services by deception.
The charges follow a fatal road accident at Bradshaw Brow, when Bourke was the driver of Renault Clio car which was in collision with a van.
The car passenger, a 20-year-old man from Bury, was killed and the van driver, a 38-year-old man fom Haslingden, suffered serious injuries and is still in hospital.
Bourke was remanded on conditional bail and will appear at Bolton Crown Court in July.
