A 26-YEAR-OLD Preston man died from his injuries on Monday at Royal Preston Hospital after his car crashed on the M61 on Sunday morning.
Stuart Robert Davis, of Elgin Street, Preston, was taken to hospital after sustaining serious head, neck and internal injuries.
Mr Davis' Fiat coupe sports car is believed to have rolled several times down a grass embankment by the northbound carriageway at 1am.
Firefighters were called to the scene and had to cut him free from the wreckage.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Lancashire police said that the vehicle left the carriageway after the driver negotiated a bend, close to the junction between the M61 and M6 motorways, near Preston.
Police are asking for witnesses. Anyone with information can call police on 01772 614444.
