TELECOM bosses have promised to consider moving a phone box after residents claimed it was been used as a drugs hideout.
As well as being vandalised several times in the last two years, it has been claimed that the phone box, near to a playground off Roebuck Close on Blackburn's Galligreaves estate, has been used for junkies ringing their dealers because of its relatively remote location.
A campaign was launched by the Galligreaves Community Association to get it moved to a nearby main road where it will be more visible. A spokesman for BT Payphones today said: "We are prepared to consider moving it, once we have spoken to the people concerned."
