AFTER a frustrating start to the season, captain Chris Lowe was pleased that his Darwen side was able to complete a game on Saturday - and take 15 points from it into the bargain.
The 117-run win over Fleetwood pushed them into second spot in the Northern Premier League, with Gareth Cordingley scoring 64.
Lowe, who himself added 31 runs, said: "It was good to be playing cricket after the disappointment of last weekend."
On Sunday Cheshire League ECB Premier side Oulton Park had too much class for Darwen in the National Knockout, but they will look to bounce back on Saturday in the League Cup at home to Leyland Motors
