CRAIG Baynes proved to be the 'right' man for Baileys FC with the only goal of the game from his trusty 'standing' leg!
Left-footed Baynes was in the right place at the right time when he prodded home from close range with his least favoured right foot.
The winger struck after 19 minutes when he reacted quickly to pounce on a loose Crown Rovers ball on the edge of the area.
The chance seem to be gone when he overhit his pass to Andrew Oliver. But the striker worked hard to retrieve the ball and played it in to the path of Wayne Latham whose low cross was turned home by Baynes.
The goal followed a lively opening from Baileys who hit the post within 30 seconds when Latham's cross hit the upright and rebounded to safety.
Dave Smith then forced Steve Davies in to a flying save. Crown's first chance came via Baileys defender Jason Prestage who headed over his own bar.
From the resulting corner, Dave Bracewell's driven low drive was met by Paul Wright whose goal-bound effort was deflected wide. Once Baileys took the lead, Crown had an opportunity to equalise immediately.
Adam Bracewell's cross causes chaos in the Baileys area and Dave Bracewell, Chris Sharratt and Steve Crohill all saw close range efforts blocked on the line.
Baileys saw plenty of the ball up to half time without threatening Davies' goal but just before the break his opposite number Richard Harrison had to be alert to save Crohill's shot on the turn.
Bailey's started the second half with a flowing four man move resulting in Latham firing just over the bar.
At the other end, Crohill headed over and shot wide as Crown Rovers hunted an equaliser.
But they needed their keeper to thank for keeping the score at 1-0 when Oliver's persistence saw his shot tipped over by Davies.
In the final 10 minutes, Crown continued to push forward and Sharratt's speculative overhead was well held by Harrison before Howard slid in with a vital block tackle to deny Crohill a shot on target.
Prestage then came to Baileys rescue when he headed off his own line. It was to be Crown's last chance so Baynes rare right foot strike proved to be the winner goal.
