A PRESTON school is onto a winner with its latest fund-raising venture.
For the top draw at St Pius X School's annual summer ball was a Manchester United shirt signed by all the squad, including David Beckham.
The shirt was auctioned off at the ball which was held last week organised by the school's Parents' Society.
And the framed shirt, donated by the chairman of the Parents' Society, Steve Browell, was snapped up by a determined bidder who topped the £500 mark in the auction
Headteacher Bridgeen Banks said: "We are delighted that the shirt raised so much during a very successful evening and we are grateful to the Parents' Society for their hard work and dedication in making the whole event such a success."
