NELSON Civic Ladies Choir hope to be in good voice at the end of this month when they take to the stage with 10 other ladies choirs at a charity concert in Huddersfield.
They join together to star in 'Songbirds' at Huddersfield Town Hall, on Saturday, May 31, an event held to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
They will be conducted by William Relton and accompanied by the Yorkshire Building Society Band.
'Songbirds' is the sister event of the hugely successful 'Men in Harmony' held in April. Both events are pre-runners to the Yorkshire Festival of Music, at the Royal Albert Hall in November.
The event starts at 7.15pm and tickets, priced at £5, £6, £8 or £10, are available from Kirklees Tourist Information Centre on 01484 223200.
Yorkshire Cancer Research funds research into the cause and cure of cancer at universities and associated teaching hospitals throughout Yorkshire.
