A NUMBER of temporary road closures will be in place in Nelson on Sunday to allow a procession organised by local Muslims to celebrate the birthday of The Holy Prophet.
The following roads, or parts of them, will be affected from noon until about 2pm to all vehicular traffic other than the two processional vehicles and police transport:
Clayton Street from the junction with Pendle Street to the junction with Scotland Road; Scotland Road from the junction with Elizabeth Street to the junction with Clayton Street; Elizabeth Street from its junction with Scotland Road to its junction with Fleet Street; Fleet Street from its junction with Elizabeth Street to its junction with Dalton Street; Dalton Street and Crawford Street, Nelson from the junction with Fleet Street to the junction with Regent Street; Regent Street from its junction with Crawford Street to its junction with Bankhouse Road; Bankhouse Road; New Scotland Road from its junction with Bankhouse to its junction with Pendle Street; Pendle Street from its junction with new Scotland Road to its junction with Scotland Road; Manchester Road from its junction with Carr Road to its junction with Stanley Street; Stanley Street from its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Every Street; Every Street from its junction with Rupert street to its junction with Pendle Street; Victoria Street from its junction with Every Street to its junction with Westmoreland Street; Westmoreland Street from its junction with Victoria Street to its junction with Lomeshaye Road; Lomeshaye Road from its junction with Westmorelamd Street to its junction with Manchester Road; Manchester Road from its junction with Lomeshaye Road to its junction with Rupert Street; Rupert Street from its junction with Lomeshaye Road to its junction with Every Street and, finally, Pendle Street from its junction with every Street to its junction with Clayton Street.
