A WOULD-BE police officer who rolled her car when almost twice the limit was given a 12-month driving ban.
Burnley magistrates heard student and part-time barmaid Lisa Bailey, 24, was found by police at a nearby house after her car ended on its roof in Salterforth Road, Earby.
She gave two breath tests and the lower revealed 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Bailey's hopes of becoming a police officer may have been dashed by her conviction, the court was told.
Bailey, of John Street, Barnoldswick, admitted driving with excess alcohol on May 11. She was also fined £55 but the bench made no order for costs.
Her solicitor John Greenwoodsaid the accident was caused by a defect in the road where five weeks earlier there had been a fatal smash.
