LEIGH Centurions honoured a special fan at Sundays fixture against Featherstone Rovers at Hilton Park.
Mrs Alice Bradshaw, who will be celebrating her 90th birthday on May 9, was guest of honour to help celebrate her special occassion.
Alice first got interested in rugby over 70 years ago when she was in her early 20's. Alice used to watch Leigh play at Mather Lane and can recall players like the young Tommy Sale, now Club President, along with the half back pair of Jimmy Rowe and Peter Riley, Ted Kerwick and Albert (Nebby) Cleworth.
Among her favourites are Jimmy Ledgard, Alex Murphy, John Woods and Des Drummond, but her favourite was the one and only Kevin Ashcroft who she met when Leigh won the Challenge Cup back in 1971.
Alice met Kevin again at Hilton Park before the game, along with Tommy Sale to enjoy the Centurions hospitality.
Executive Director Derek Beaumont presents a bouquet to Alice.
