THE heavy rain after all that dry weather has caused me a heap of trouble.
It found a fault in the roof and water poured in behind curtains in the spare room which conveniently cover my glory hole.
Loud drips lead to the discovery of water running along the beam and a right soggy mess was revealed. Long clothes on a portable rail were soaked along with my large collection of cabbage patch kids, stored in open bin bags.
Neighbours must have thought they were seeing things when 40 of the ugly little blighters were pegged out on the line to dry.
A repair has been carried out, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's done the job. If not the dilemma is how do I find a roofer I can trust?
