MEMBERS of Rosegrove Action group in Rosegrove Lane have issued a heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the annual carnival a huge success.
The event, held on playing fields in Sycamore Avenue, last Sunday attracted a crowd for a variety of activities.
The action group would like to thank the parks department at Burnley Council for allowing them to use the playing fields and the community development service for the use of the equipment, as well as the community wardens, police, fire brigade and St John Ambulance.
MEMBERS of Greenbrook Methodist Church are holding their annual arts and crafts exhibition until Sunday, May 18. Admission 75p adults, 50p children accompanied by an adult.
ST MARK'S Church, Rossendale Road, is inviting everyone in Rosegrove to relive the 50s and 60s with Andy's rock and roll night on Saturday, May 17, in the church hall at 7.30pm.
Organisers say a good night is guaranteed.
STAFF, Pupils and parents at Rosegrove Infant School in Owen Street are celebrating success in obtaining the school achievement award for their outstanding results last year.
BURNLEY Council's home maintenance project co-ordinator Lynne Ellacott has negotiated a 10 per cent discount for residents at a popular hire shop.
Burnley Hire Centre will honour the agreement for all residents including Rosegrove.
This will enable residents to hire various types of equipment to carry out their own repairs.
