A BURNLEY woman who burst into a beauty salon and shot her love rival dead has been found guilty of murder.
Rena Salmon has been jailed for life at the Old Bailey after being found guilty of the murder of 36-year-old Lorna Stewart.
Burnley-born mother-of-two Salmon, 43, of Great Shefford, Berks, admitted killing Stewart by shooting her twice with a shotgun at her beauty salon in Chiswick High Road, west London, in September last year.
But she had denied murder and said she had gone to the salon to commit suicide and pulled the trigger in a trance-like state.
The court had heard the affair at the end of the Salmon's 18-year marriage triggered depression rooted in an unhappy childhood.
The jury rejected her claims that she did not know what she was doing when she shot Miss Stewart.
