A LIB-DEM councillor today issued a stark reply to potential BNP candidates in Darwen.
Members of the far-right party last week announced that a new branch would open in the town but Coun Paul Browne insisted they would not win a single seat.
He said: "We are not at all concerned about them starting in Darwen if they want to. We will give them a fight and we welcome the challenge. Darreners will know who to vote for."
BNP members begin canvassing in the next few months.
