ROVERS have a lot of fans all over the world and many of them try to get over for the big games.
But there aren't many as keen as Norwegian fan Erlend Johansen who has been in town this week eagerly awaiting Simon Garner's testimonial.
Erlend, who likes to be known as Alan, has been soaking up the local atmosphere - and the beer - ahead of tomorrow's game, chatting to Rovers' fans in local pubs such as Uncle Jack's and the Fox and Hounds.
He's only 23 but is quite an expert on the Rovers fortunes over the past 50 years and more and he would certainly star in any sports quiz based on the club.
He speaks excellent English with a faint Blackburn, not a Norwegian, accent.
Alan saw Rovers on television when he was barely four years old and was hooked. In recent years he has been over close on 40 times for big games.
But a testimonial? "Simon Garner was a great player for the Rovers and I just had to be here," he said.
But he admitted that his all-time Rovers hero is Bryan Douglas -- a view that would be shared by many a Rovers veteran fan.
