BLACKBURN'S Gilbert and Sullivan Society is celebrating 40 years of success tonight at their 40th AGM.
Back in 1964 their first-ever production, of the popular operetta The Gondoliers, was staged and the society has been performing to much acclaim ever since.
All members are invited to attend the meeting in the Capita Building (behind the Thwaites Empire Theatre) at 7.30pm.
NODA awards are being presented during the evening and three founder members -- Margaret Barnes, Sandra Chadwick and Richard Peacock -- will be presented with their 40-year bar.
