ROVERS could be in for an unexpected windfall this summer if reports linking James Beattie with a big-money move to Liverpool have any substance.
Speculation in the national Press this morning claimed Beattie is on the brink of a £12 million switch to Anfield.
And if that was to happen then Rovers would stand to pocket around £2.4 million after negotiating a 20 per cent sell-on clause when the striker moved from Ewood to the Saints in July 1998.
