PEOPLE will be able to learn new skills while improving their environment - as well as enjoying special days out - during volunteer action days run by the Sustainability Action Partnership.
They will run every Thursday in Burnley and anybody can take part in the outdoor practical activities.
Ruth Soulsby, of the Sustainability Action Partnership, said: "We visit local projects and help them to carry out specific tasks such as footpath building or gardening and teach people how to use tools safely.
"If you are unable to help with the practical work but would like to come on the workshops and days out we would still like to hear from you."
This week the volunteers will be visiting Gawthorpe Hall and anyone wanting to join the trip should ring in advance.
There is a different activity each Thursday aimed at improving the area and volunteers are usually asked to meet at the offices of the East Lancashire Voluntary Sector Resource Centre, at 62 - 64 Yorkshire Street, Burnley.
