POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a road crash which left a 32-year-old man with leg injuries.
Joseph Walsh, 32, of Stockport, was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary following the accident on the A56 near Huncoat on Monday morning.
Mr Walsh underwent emergency surgery after crushing a leg when his van crashed into a lorry parked in a lay-by around 10.30am.
He was also treated for minor cuts and bruises to his head and chest.
Police have asked for any witnesses to the crash to call the road policing unit on 01254 353764.
