CHRIS Casper has cleared up the confusion over reports he is set to join Burnley this summer.
Speculation had linked Casper - the son of former Burnley player and manager Frank - with a move back north to link up with Stan Ternent's men.
But the former Reading and Manchester United defender has confirmed he will NOT be joining the Clarets.
Casper, who has spent almost four seasons out of the game after a horrific leg injury brought his career to a shuddering halt, said: "I am planning to move back north later this year and it seems when I said I was coming back to Burnley, people put two and two together and got five.
"The manager there, Stan Ternent, has been terrific by offering me advice and assistance, but that's as far as it goes."
Casper, who had been coaching Team Bath, added: "I'm concentrating now on getting a coaching licence, which is very important to me."
