NELLIE the elephant packed her trunk and ended up in Lytham!
The pink plywood creature normally stands outside a cafe in the village of Gargrave, North Yorkshire.
But police are now investigating the disappearance of Nellie, and mystery picture showing her in Lytham St Annes and nearby Morecambe.
No ransom demand has been forthcoming so far. Nellie's owner, Linda Hartell-Payne, said: "She certainly looks very well and very cheerful and is being looked after wherever she is, but we really do want her back - we really miss her."
