A NEW blue plaque was unveiled at a historic hotel in Dean Street on Friday.
The Mayor of Blackpool, Cllr Ivan Taylor, unveiled the plaque, at the Old Coach House, a former Vicarage reputed to be the oldest building in South Shore, and owner Claire Smith, used the opportunity to reveal some ghostly goings-on at the house.
Three years ago, four men eating at the hotel were distracted throughout their meal as the 'ghost' was stood there. Claire Smith, who has owned the Old Coach House for 10 years, said she could see that they were agitated and went over to them.
Claire asked if they would like a dessert and asked what was wrong. They told her that there was a ghost stood there watching them the whole time.
The ghost supposedly had a cap on and a black cloak. The second ghost is a woman named Shirley, who looks after the dining room... although guests have seen them, the owners haven't -- yet!
