SMALL-minded politics should be overcome and the citizens of Pendle should come first rather than petty bickering by councillors playing some kind of power game between themselves.
I stood as a Liberal Democrat candidate in the last two local elections, first in Bradley and then latterly in Foulridge, and my own experience proved to me that local politics is nothing but a game played by people who, at the end of the day, care more about their own egos than a sense of duty and caring.
It is getting beyond a joke when councillors put petty party loyalties before the well-being of Pendle's residents and conduct themselves with a schoolyard mentality.
I plead with all the elected representatives of Pendle to stop this silliness and get on with making it a better place to live and work in.
