POLICE normally stationed in the office were out on the streets of Bury this week as part of Greater Manchester Police's Patrol Day.
The aim of the scheme was to increase patrols on the streets of the region. Mounted officers took part in the patrols to increase the visible presence of police.
PC John Flowers, stationed at Bury, said earlier trials had already been a success.
He said: "This has worked well in other divisions and it is anticipated that we will have Patrol Days on a regular basis."
