AN elderly woman involved in a car crash on an Atherton road is still in a serious condition in hospital.
The 78-year-old woman, who is local but has not been named by police, was described as being in a "poorly" condition early on Tuesday after the crash in Lovers Lane last Friday which left her trapped in her Vauxhall Corsa for around an hour.
Her car was thrown along the road in a collision with a Peugeot and smashed into a garden wall.
She was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with multiple fractures and a suspected broken neck. The Peugeot driver suffered a broken leg.
