SIX men were due to appear in court in Burnley today charged in connection with a disturbance in Nelson on Saturday.
The incident, involving around 25 Asian men, resulted in a 22-year-old man receiving two gunshot wounds.
Police said the disturbance in Bradshaw Street at 9.20pm was between two groups of Asian men, probably from two different families.
They described it as an "incredibly violent incident."
A section of Bradshaw Street, between Thomas Street and Lloyd Walk, was cordonned off with police tape and guarded by two patrol cars during the Bank Holiday weekend.
