RADCLIFFE Carnival is set for Saturday, June 7.
The carnival has been held every year since the mid-1960s and this year organisers say it will be better than ever.
The fun starts at 2pm on Saturday, June 7, when dozens of floats will parade through the town. The new carnival queen will be crowned, and there will be a fancy dress competition, music and majorettes on Red Bank playing fields in Unsworth Street.
Then the following day the action continues at 11am with morris dancing, stalls, a car boot sale and entertaining troupes.
On both days there will be a vintage car display and the army will also be giving demonstrations.
Any groups which would like to enter a float in the carnival or have a stall on the field should ring 0161 797 4475 or pick up an entry form at the Radcliffe Times office in Blackburn Street, Radcliffe, or at Radcliffe Library.
Silcocks Fair is also in town, starting off the festivities on the Thursday before carnival day and remaining until the Monday.
