A BLACKBURN boy who sexually attacked and molested a teenage girl in an alleyway has been put behind bars.
A judge told the fifteen-year-old he was a danger to young girls after hearing how he had groped his victim.
The fourteen-year-old girl was so affected by her ordeal that she was left shaking and vomiting for the rest of that night.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to indecent assault following the incident last November, when he was just 14.
He was given 12 months detention and training at Preston Crown Court and was also placed on the sex offenders register for two and a half years.
Mr John Woodward, prosecuting, said the boy had approached the girl from behind, effectively pinned her against a wall and kissed her aggressively.
Although she managed to break free the boy tripped her and pushed her to the floor. He was effectively on top of the girl, kissing her and trying to pull her clothing. He groped her chest and her breasts were exposed. Eventually she managed to break free.
Mr Keith Thomas, defending, said the boy had not been a complete stranger to the girl. He suggested there had been some friendship, intimacy beforehand.
He said that during the period prior to the offence the boy had been experiencing problems at home and had regularly gone missing.
He also said the teenager had expressed his regret and apologised following the incident.
