ITALIAN football fans Dawn and Kerry Jones will watch the European Champions League final from their armchairs -- after failing to get tickets to see their heroes.
The pair, from Atherton, had made a desperate plea for help after struggling to get tickets for the match.
They received a phone call offering two tickets for £350, and managed to borrow the money.
But when they rang back, the caller had sold the tickets -- for just £230.
Mother Dawn, aged 46, and student daughter Kerry, 20, follow rival teams.
Dawn supports AC Milan and Kerry is a big Juventus fan. The two teams will face each other in the final at Old Trafford.
Dawn, in a desperate bid to see her hero Paulo Maldini, has taken the last two days off work to spend her time searching for tickets on the internet and in newspapers.
The Newsquest van driver even spends her holidays in Italy watching her favourite team.
