NIGEL Evans has asked Blackburn MP Jack Straw to intervene in the case of an ambulance driver being prosecuted for speeding as he dashed to take a crucial liver for transplantation.
Mike Ferguson was clocked at 104mph in Lincolnshire.
Now Mr Evans, Tory MP for Ribble Valley, said: "It's three years since Jack Straw's police car was stopped for doing 103mph on the M5, racing towards a Labour Party meeting in Exeter. "Mr Ferguson was doing just one mph more while taking a life-saving liver for transplant.
"I hope Mr Straw will now raise the issue so any prosecution is dropped."
Mr Straw declined to comment.
