A BURY man accused of causing £10,000 worth of damage in the home of a former friend has been committed by Rochdale magistrates to stand trial at the Crown Court.
Iqbal Nawaz, aged 38, of Broad Oaks, Bury, is charged with destroying fixtures and fittings worth £10,000 belonging to Violet Bennett, entering a house in Waithlands Road, Rochdale, and stealing shoes and boots worth £1,500 and a further offence of burglary with intent to cause damage.
He will appear at the Crown Court, Minshull Street, Manchester, on July 4. Bail was granted subject to conditions which include staying out of Rochdale.
